Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of health care and treatments on the planet, but it still serves its purposes even today. Now, while inserting dozens of needles into your body doesn’t seem like the most fun way to treat ailments, acupuncture is a tried and true therapeutic practice that has helped people deal with pain for centuries.
Have you ever wondered what you contribute to the community? The Twitter-community that is… Well I have, and before I just shared some cool links I stumbled-upon with my friends and followers. But I have decided that there are allready excellent programs for that.
Yup, that’s right. There now is an online acupuncture practice on the internet. No you will not get virtual needles and pay me lots of money for it, but I will answer your questions about acupuncture and health for you.
And all of this on twitter. Just tweet me at @acubas and I will answer a.s.a.p (when I am online). So, tweet, retweet and retweet the word: the first online acupuncture practice has opened!
Just a short link for all of you interested in research. And ofcourese for all the doubters out there…
I found this article on the Portland Acupuncture Blog giving us more information about the studies that have been done. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Just a short update on my blog because of all the hysteria round the mexican or swine flu. A lot of people are wondering if this new flu can be prevented or cured with alternative medicine. Offcourse!!! some sites will say and they will sell you their expansive therapies. My spam-box was already full with all kinds of cures for the swine flu and only one cure for the mexican flu as it now is called in Europe.
Unfortunately little is known about this new flu. So what can we say about the effect of acupuncture on it? Very little indeed…
In the Netherlands this is already an almost ancient commercial. I had to hear this a lot form my patients. The first text that appears translates as: ‘better call the insurance?’
Hope you like it as much as I did, especially the music in the end.
